Bachelorette Weekend Games: What to Play and When

It's Friday, 4pm. The rental is booked, the groceries are in, and dinner isn't until eight. Six people are sitting in the living room, scrolling. Somebody says "so what's the plan?" and everyone looks at you.

A weekend away has more empty hours than a single night out. That's mostly a good thing. It just means the games need to be planned around the weekend's natural lulls, not crammed into one evening.

Here's what to play at each point, from the first arrivals on Friday to the last coffee on Sunday. It works the same for a hen weekend.

The weekend at a glance

You won’t pick all of these. Pick the slots where your group is most likely to stall.

How many games to pack

Bring three or four for a full weekend. Expect to play two or three.

The rest are backup for the moments you can't predict: the restaurant running late, the pool closing early, the hour on Saturday when everyone is suddenly very tired. A game nobody plays costs you nothing. Running out of ideas at 4pm costs you the afternoon.

One rule worth keeping: never interrupt a good conversation to start a game. If the group is already having fun, the game can wait.

Friday: arrivals and the first night in

Friday is staggered. One car arrives at three, another at six, and somebody's flight is delayed. The first game has to work for whoever's in the room.

Anything But, for the arrivals. Each prompt starts a picture and rules out the obvious way to finish it. Everyone draws on their own sheet, so newcomers can pick up a pen the moment they put their bag down. No waiting for the full group, and nobody needs to know anyone.

Dirty Minds, once everyone's in. Every clue sounds rude and every answer is innocent. It's a good fit for the stretch while dinner is in the oven, because it needs one reader, no movement and very little brainpower.

Saturday afternoon: pool or beach

Saturday afternoon is the longest stretch of the weekend with the least structure. Half the group is in the water, half is horizontal, and the playlist has looped twice.

Bikinis & Martinis, for the lounger crowd. A drinking board game that gives the afternoon a focus. Set it up on the patio table and people can drift in and out between swims.

Heading somewhere coastal? The Last Toast on the Coast bundle has four editable games with host guides, designed around a beach weekend. You can edit them in Canva.

Saturday night: going out

The big night. Dinner, then somewhere with music, then somewhere else. The group spends a surprising amount of it walking between places and waiting for a table.

Photo Scavenger Hunt, for the in-between. A list of photos to collect over the night, played in teams. It fills every wait and walk, mixes up who talks to whom, and leaves you with a camera roll to laugh at over Sunday coffee.

If it rains

The pool day becomes a living room day. This is where the spare games earn their place in your bag.

Anything But and MASH both work at a coffee table for as long as people want to keep going. The Photo Scavenger Hunt can move indoors too: play it around the house, or save it for whatever you do once the rain stops.

Print the games before you leave home. The rental's printer, if it has one, will be out of ink.

Bundle or single games?

For a full weekend, the Bachelorette Game Bundle makes sense. It includes Anything But, Dirty Minds and the Photo Scavenger Hunt, which covers Friday's arrivals, Friday night and Saturday's night out. It costs less than buying the three separately.

For a one-night stay, skip the bundle. Anything But plus one more game is enough.

Keep the whole plan in one place

Once you know which game goes where, put it on the schedule with everything else: arrival times, dinner reservations, the checkout time nobody remembers. Send it to the group chat once and you'll answer far fewer questions all weekend.

The Bachelorette Weekend Itinerary is an editable template for exactly that. See the Bachelorette Weekend Itinerary.

The short version

A weekend away has more downtime than you think. Plan a game for each lull: arrivals, the afternoon, the walk between bars, the slow morning. Pack a spare for the rain.

If half your group has never met, Bachelorette Games for a Group Who Don't Know Each Other goes deeper on the first night.
